Face Down

September 26, 2005

I rejoice in the Lord and in the work of His hands. He alone is mighty and able to save! He makes the sun to rise upon us all and sets it just the same! He is more than faithful, completely holy, and moves in a majesty only known to creation only as He chooses to reveal it! ~ PAUSE ~

Yes, pause. We need to take the time and pause our lives more often and allow all the areas of our lives come to a face down position before an all consuming and powerful God.

I’ve recently read Matt Redman’s new book, FaceDown. I just want to toss you a few quotes from the book and then I challenge you to go get it and read it!

“To worship facedown is the ultimate outward sign of inner reverance.”

“The call on all of our lives is to journey beyond melodies and harmonies, beyond lyrics and poetry . . . In the same sentiment as King David, I will not sacrifice what cost me nothing (see 2 Samuel 24:24).”

“The most meaningful and powerful worship always comes at a price – the whole of our lives placed on His altar.”

Get it, read it, process it, live it!

Lisa and I are doing great. The kids are doing well, also. We love you all greatly and deeply request your prayers as we pursue the Lord’s leading!

Abiding,
Scott and Lisa
