Desperate for Love

We were without Hope

Placing Faith in ourselves

Scriptures tell us that:

We all are lost and separated from God due to the Fall in the Garden (Romans 5)

We all are also guilty in our own right by our choices (Romans 3:23)

But God wanted back the relationship that was lost ~ willing to do anything to have it (John 3:16)

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2.4- 9             It is all because He loves us that He created, pursued, provided the way, and paid the price for us to come home.  When we decided to follow Christ we are identified in His death (We are dead to the old nature) and rise again to new life in Him (Eternal life, New Creation, Old is Gone).  It is all what He has done because we couldn’t.             We were desperate for love

       Controls the choices we make

Drives the way we relate to people

We really had no Hope of Eternal life, but even a fulfilled life with purpose now

       Driven by stuff and achievements

Value derived by status and the fleeting approval of people

We were living by Faith in our own abilities and assets

Leaves us short – Someone is always better or has more

Does not fix our past nor guarantees our future

In  Faith

We have this Hope

That has been poured out to us in Love

His Name Is Jesus
