The State Notebook

March 2, 2009

It was due this past Friday.  It was assigned in November.  My daughter Victoria is in 4th grade.  In 4th grade they begin to do a lot of projects.  The thing is when the student has a project, so do the parents.  We all have been working on this state notebook thing like mad over the last week to try and get it finished. (There is a whole post here we could do on procrastination)

Here is the cool thing that happened.  Instead of getting frustrated, we all pitched in and made it fun.  We had to go places and take pictures, research on the internet, cut, paste and glue.  It could have been a nightmare.  We made it a family event.  We all learned a lot about Delaware.  (Believe it or not, there are a lot of cool things to learn)

What is going on in your life that could be a nightmare?  How can you look at it with God’s eyes, gather some of the people in your life, and make it a positive experience?  The Bible says, what the enemy means for evil, God means for good.  Always ask, “God, will You teach me something in this?”

Make sure you hear me here this is a biggie . . .

Most of finding out what God is up to in your circumstances is found in:

  1. How you choose to look at it (the mind of Christ)
  2. Walking through them with others who love God and you (Biblical community)
  3. Work hard (Do all things through Christ who strengthens you)
