The War on Life

March 9, 2009

I have been very careful over the years in my ministry and on this blog to remain out of the political fray and stay Kingdom focused and plan to continue to do so as best I can.  Sometimes, however,  living life as a citizen of the Kingdom of God will find us at strong odds with certain political things.

With these statements out of the way, I just wanted to acknowledge a fact.  There is a war on life.  We would do well as believers to acknowledge this and pray.  Scripture is plain when Jesus says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10.  Satan wants to stop the move of God on the earth.  He wants to stop the move of God in your life.  He certainly wants to stop it in the lives of those yet to live.

Please understand, the life we have been given to live – this breif, tiny, little, blip in the scope of human history – isn’t just the simple sum of your own personal experiences.  It isn’t all about me or you.  Billions of people have, do, and will live through the course of history.  We have a role to play in the divine plan of God, each of us.  The enemy wants to rob you, me, the old, the young, and the unborn of our destiny in Christ.

This must be factored into our decision making as we live a life of Godly service.  Please, fall in love with Jesus and pursue His heart.  If you have been robbed by the enemy, THERE IS HOPE! Romans 8:28 tell us that if we will fall love with God and answer His call that He will take those things that the enemy meant to rob and destroy you and work through them for your good!  God doesn’t leave us hanging in our mistakes or cast us away because of our failures.  At the same time, he doesn’t want us to continue to live in them or to receive the consequences that come from them.

The way to win the war on life is to allow the transforming power of Christ to work in your life, live by Godly principles, love the Lord with all of your heart – soul – mind – strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.

Receive the life that Jesus came to bring you today and share it!

  1. Amen! and Amen! Ephesians 6:10-12, ‘ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.’ Jesus gave us His life, that we might have life in Him. The victory has already been achieved! Now, friends let us walk in His victorious life before mankind as witnesses and the glory of the Lord. Blessings. Doug

  2. A very good word, bro. As believers we need to be in prayer for our nation like never before.
