Right Perspective

November 26, 2010

I think this line from Keith Green really captures the proper perspective on the Christian life.

“Make my life a prayer to You, I wanna do what you want me to.  No empty words and no white lies, no token prayers, no compromise.”

  1. Where are the Keith Green’s of this generation? How I wish he were still with us. He was so differnent that today’s generation of song writers. Of course, there are some GREAT song writers today but you get my point)

Did you know that he gave his albums away for free? Printed on the album was permission to make as many copies of the record and distribute it to as many people as one wanted. The only stipulation was that you could not sell it.
AND he got his label to sign off on that!

Keith Green truly was an anointed psalmist and prophet of God and the prophetic music he left the world is as true today as when God first gave him the words. Keith was not only a prophet to my generation, but transended the generational barriers making disciples of all generations. God’s Spirit embues his music as powerfully today as then. Thanks be to God that you, Scott, and other prophetic psalmist are sharing God’s message as Keith Green did and continues to do.

You and Jonathan are both anointed prophetic psalmists of your generation and like Keith’s music yours transends boundaries, making disciples of all people.
    Keep the Faith! Love you.
